HELPING PROVIDE TEMPORARY SHELTER FOR REFUGEES IN CALAIS THIS WINTER.

Family walking amidst Calais tents

Jesus encouraged us to love other people. That’s why last autumn we called young people across the UK to help sponsor temporary shelters in the Calais refugee camp for the winter.

Take a look at what we saw and how you're helping make a difference for refugee families in Calais...

YOU’VE HELPED RAISE OVER £41,000!

A massive and heartfelt THANK YOU for supporting the #lovecalais project. You helped raise over £41,000 - providing refugees stranded in Calais with warm, dry shelters over the winter.

Update from the camp

2016 shelters being built in Calais

29/01/2016: You may have heard in the news recently that part of the camp was ordered to be destroyed by authorities. We are pleased to confirm that L’Auberge des Migrants was successfully able to relocate more than 200 shelters and the families living in them to different parts of the camp. None of the #lovecalais-funded shelters were lost to the bulldozers and new shelters are still very-much needed.

01/12/2015: We went back to the camp in December to see what the conditions are like now and what difference the money that you raised is already making. Take a look...
